In 2021, right before I moved to Vancouver, I serendipitously had one of my large fire paintings make its way back to me. I included it in the collection of work I exhibited at my first East Van Culture Crawl, and this painting, 2 years later, is still the most talked about piece from the show.

It's with awareness and respect that I present the first fire piece I've painted since 2019. I worked on a clear-primed grey linen, which really added to the overall atmosphere. Painting on top of the grey shifted the color palette as a whole and did a beautiful job of adding to the sense of smoke.
